I CD'ed Morgann. They are so cute. Make sure you tuck that insert all the way in or it will leak! I debated CD-ing the twins...but haven't had the guts yet:)
I have a pre-fold in there and doubled up in the front for extra protection. THat is just the extra in the back. Should I tuck it inside the cover or all the way inside so it's touching his skin?
Just tuck it under the cover. That should do the trick. It took me a while to learn to stick everything cotton under the cover to avoid leakage. Boys might be a little different though;-)
We're cloth diapering our daugther. They are super cute for sure.
Not sure about how I'd handle a little boy, but we tuck the front of the CD inside the 'pocket' in our cover (we use Thirsties) and try to always have the back of the diaper inside the cover (not about the waist band), just in case there's a lot of pee we don't want her shirt wet.
Did you buy these used? The reason I ask is from the picture they look like the old style. A triangular edge where they snap shut at the waist. The new style of Fuzzi Bunz is square in the area. I bought some old style used off diaperswappers.com and the new style off cottonbabies.com. I found that the new style fit better and hold a lot more. They also run a tad bit bigger and for those with bigger babies (like mine) a large fit her until she was 3! Also, hemp liners are the bomb!! I used one cotton terry and two hemps at night. Never had a leak!
