There is a nearby community that our small group has kind of adopted
along with another church.
This was our second year to hold a weeklong VBS for the kids
followed by a block party for all of the families
with music, food, snacks, games, bounce houses, gospel conversations and snow cones.
This year we had the added bonus of gifting many of the families with book bags
full of school supplies to begin the following school year.
Our church really came together to donate a TON of supplies and backpacks for us
(and other small groups) to pass out to low income families that may not
be able to purchase their own school supplies for their kids.
Seeing the look on those kids faces was priceless!
