I HATE piles of stuff, but inevitably as soon as I get rid of something I end up needing it.
These are boxes from guitar pedals, computer programs and various other contraptions we have around the house. It is taking up an obscene amount of space in our already crammed closet of musical gear and I don't quite know what to do with it.
Do you keep ALL of your boxes like this? What do you do with them? Where do you store them if you do keep them?

Dump them! If you haven't used anything in the box or looked for anything in the box in 6 months, dump it! That's my rule - toys, clothes, gadgets...if I haven't looked for it or used it, I don't need it!
since the move, I now have boxes full of, yep you guessed it, empty boxes!! Rusty wants to hold on to all of them "just in case".... in case of what; I have no earthly idea???? good luck girl :)
If you have space keep them, but if no space trash them. I keep empty boxes that are odd good shapes for wrapping Christmas gifts in my storage building. But if I didn't have there to keep them they would have to go. But it is nice to have them when you have something odd shaped or large to wrap. But I'm like you Tasha I keep something forever and then finally break down and trash it and the next week I have a need for it. Go figure!

Or, do you have an attic? We usually store our empty boxes there until we go to put a new one up there and throw away a bunch =)
Mike wants to and it drives me crazy... I throw them away most of the time. Of course then we need it cause something breaks or something. Good Luck!

We are moving in two weeks and I am finding all my little piles of junk everywhere. To the trash I say.

So, Jonathan likes to get rid of everything...but he likes to keep boxes w/ the papers of computer stuff. There must be a reason behind this...I think it has to do with the warranty of the item (can't return it without package?? - I could be wrong) I'd say keep em' in the attic if you have one...get rid of the boxes of things that are past the warranty??
With that said...I still have the box for my camera - Why?
Hey Tasha, We keep the receipts and all the paperwork for the item on file. The box we keep in the attic for a short while. Hope all is well with you and yours. We have been gone some...celebrating our 30th anniversary. Take care and blessings from the Nichols clan.
