We had the Uganda Via's with us for about a week before Christmas. It was a FULL house but we had a GREAT time. We kept busy with games, gingerbread house creating and other outings and activities.

Jingle Jam 2021
Jingle Jam was a HUGE success this year! I think it was the best year yet IMO.
Kayla had the idea of making it a dinner theatre type vibe. They served spaghetti and meatballs and had tables set up all over the big room. There was a ginger bread house competition and other fun activities along with songs and Christmas elements. We brought the Uganda Via kiddos with us and even the big kids had fun!
Looking Back - Alethia Turns 13
We had another Rite Of Passage Ceremony.
It was Alethia's turn to head into her teens.
We went to my parents to have a movie night with her friends.
We also had a beautiful ceremony with all her mentors and friends.
We followed the same agenda as Rainy's ceremony HERE.
Looking Back - November 2021
We started the month off with some pretty big milestones.
Rainy got her restricted, which is a GAME CHANGER for our family!
And Zeke finally got his job! He is a hard worker, enjoys getting that paycheck (he bought ALL of his Christmas presents with his own money this year!) and logs about 20 hours each week.
Josh and I headed down to FL to a big TTI conference. It was an amazing event and I really enjoyed getting to hear first-hand about this fantastic ministry. Our team back home held down the fort on Sunday while we were gone. We sure love our team!
We hosted a "friendsgiving" for Rainy and her friends.
Rainy baked a legit turkey and everything!
And Rainy also lead with Josh one Sunday morning.
It was such a sweet day of ministry all together.
Home Improvements - November 2021
We have had the hardest time getting going on the addition to our home, so we began using that motivation in some projects that we CAN get going on. We finally got our house painted in October and now it was time to move on to our foyer. This space was lacking and I had a specific vision for a mud room area and sent a picture to some very gifted friends of ours to see if they could make it happen. And sure enough, they did. It is EXACTLY what I wanted!
Then we saw signs that the furniture store down the street was going out of business due to the Rolesville expansion plans so we took advantage of their Black Friday deal and FINALLY bought a couch. We'd only been talking about replacing our 20-year-old couch for about 5 years, ha!
Richmond Marathon - November 13, 2021
Zeke and Josh did a thing.
They signed up for their first Marathon.
Zeke wasn't allowed to sign up for the whole because he was only 15, but decided that the half would be a great start into this running world. They drove up to Richmond and stayed with Josh's Uncle.
I stayed home with the other kids but I was glued to my phone.
I registered for updates and I could track their runs on my app so I could watch them move through each mile. It was so addicting to keep up with.
They did an amazing job and are both ready to book another race.

Dominican Republic October 2021
Josh and Zeke had the opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic with Rick in October.
It was an amazing trip. I think it was so good for Zeke to get a little perspective on life. He created a documenting video of the trip and Rick and Janet liked it so much they asked if he would jump on some other trips to document their time some more for the ministry. His next trip is in March!

We gave our house a facelift and painted it white...FINALLY
We finished up our soccer seasons
And of course got in some quality friend time
One Sunday morning we realized that our little frizzle feather chickens got out of the fenced in area.
Cow, our rooster disappeared and after 3 days Jude spotted him walking around the yard across the street. It took him a good week or two to normalize.
We actually thought he might not make it, but he is alive and thriving now!
Andy Cherry came in and did a house show at the Clodfelter's home.
