Acting With Purpose - Holy Week

Tonight for our last day of Holy Week we told the Resurrection story.  You know, the part where Jesus rose from the dead!  The reason for Easter.  The most amazing part of history that sets us, as believers, apart from any other religion!  Our God is ALIVE and presently at work in our lives!

After reading the story we acted it out.  We built a fort which we made into a tomb.  I was the angel that rolled the stone away and the kids took turns coming out and saying "Jesus Is Alive!"

I hope you and your family have had a GREAT Holy Week remembering what Christ has done for you and for me.

Remember, if you are in the Charlotte and you need a place to worship come meet us at:
Southbrook Church Weddington Campus - 7am, 8:30am, 10am and 11:30am - This Sunday morning

That is so creative. I bet the kids had a blast doing that. I will remember that for Jubal....thanks for the idea. You are such a good mommy ;)

that's awesome Tasha! Again, I'm challenged to be more creative and intentional in teaching my kids about the Lord...
funny, when I first loaded the page and saw the blanky covered structure, I was like, "what???" this is gonna be something goofy the kids did... then started reading and it was so OBVIOUSLY a Tomb!! :) Great job, Mrs!! Keep it up!

I love the Holy Week events! And I can't wait to start our own similar traditions next year. (I'm selfishly tired right now with the new baby and there's no energy for the events...) I'm happy that at least my kid knows Easter is Jesus and not the bunny! Well, I think he knows most of the story. He knows that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins.. that's a little song we created.. then one day he added something about a scooter and him? or Him? being mad??!!
Have a good day!
