Spaghetti For Breakfast
Rule #1 - You can read about our "One Bite Rule" HERE
Rule #2 - If you refuse to eat your dinner for DINNER, you can eat it for BREAKFAST!
(It will be eaten BEFORE you eat ANYthing else)
Basically, if you simply don't want to eat your dinner and are having a bad attitude at the dinner table, then, by all means, go play. But KNOW that you WILL EAT your dinner at some point before you may eat anything else=)

That's a good one. I never really thought of the breakfast thing, for my son, he normally would say he is hungry before then anyways. He is a big dessert eater so he knows if he does not eat he gets no treat. That is generally motivation enough. We have generally just not let him down until he is finished.
But that tends to delay my clean up =( *lol*
actually..........this is a REALLY GREAT idea.
hmm...
I may try these.
[good luck]
HA...we are dealing with this issue with Luke, and I feel so "mean" in front of other people, when we tell him now or nothing ahhahahah...I know they think "he is ONLY 2", but I know his little will is far beyond two!!! thanks for the encouragment!
We also have the same rule but we call it the thank you bite Char
That is such a funy pic! And growing up we had the SAME rule. My dad was serious about us respecting what my mom had prepared for us to eat.
I really think its important for everyone to eat the same thing at dinnertime. But man, what a battle that can be!!
I like your rules! I think I am going to adopt them. So far, Seth is like is Mommy and he eats everything in sight! :) he had five pieces of bacon this morning. Scott and I had to hurry and get ours. :)
Awwwww! Her precious little face... it's funny how when you're the mom that pouty face does NOT work with you. But when you see someone elses' child like that you can more easily sympathize!!! Abby has those jammies!
Tasha, IT WORKS! We did the same thing with all 5of our kids. Trust me they are not picky eaters and will eat pretty much anything someone serves them. We use to say...you need to have a gratitude attitude.
Gratefulness is lacking in many a child and (adult) these days. Keep up the good work. God will bless it.
Love ya,Cheryl(Ms. Nichols)
